I’ve been slacking on blog posts, okay, on everything for the last month. The short of why is that is that cancer sucks! Adulting sucks too!
In the last several weeks I’ve dealt with my mom battling c diff with a ten day hospital stay and still at home recovering. Then in the midst of that, my mother-in-law took a turn for the worse. She passed peacefully with a smile on her face, surrounded by love and laughter on May 11th after a 2 1/2 year battle with stage 4 inoperable lung cancer.
Through it all I did get away for a few days to attend an amazing writers retreat. I not only got to meet and hang out with some pretty amazing authors, but some of the self-care and wellness techniques we focused on have really helped me cope with everything. There was also a lot of shop talk about the self-publishing business, and I even managed to get not one but 2 books edited and ready for release.
Broken Chains released May 14th and currently available on Amazon and FREE on Kindle Unlimited:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07RL5R4XZ
Under a Harvest Moon will release exclusively in the Fated Mates boxset on June 4th and also available on pre-order: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07PJTQD72
In case you missed it, In Plain Sight released last month on both paperback and audio! https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07QJ7MPTB
One thing I learned at the retreat is that blogs apparently went out of style like four years ago. LOL They seemed quite surprised to hear I was still doing it. Not gonna stop, and be on the lookout for other authors blogging again too… bringing back the blog! hahahaha
I’ll be posting a few other catch-up posts and back to work fully this week after a few days break from reality visiting family in Florida. In the meantime, check out my new (and old) friends from my retreat–and their books! Heather Hildenbrand, Tia Silverthorne Bach, Bella Roccaforte, Nealy Gihan, Bethany Lopez, C.G. Powell, and Breezy Jones.
So sorry you’ve had more than your share of the recent trying situations 🙁 I know you are strong but I’m sending more Prayers for you & yours, and hugs to you right now, and will continue with positive thoughts for your peaceful & brighter tomorrows <3 oxo
Thanks Deb!
