For the past 3 weeks, I have somehow managed to lose Tuesday. Like did we even have Tuesday for the last month? Today, I remembered it’s Tuesday. That’s progress right?

First, I must clarify… my count of days is on state directed orders here in Virginia. Which, if you’ve been following along is an 11 week shutdown of my state. We’re on restrictive lock down until June 10th, 10 more weeks to go. As a family we have been laying low and taking extra precautions since March 9th, two days before this thing was even declared a worldwide pandemic. I geeked out on following the natural progression of societal and economical breakdown and calling things days before they hit. This isn’t exactly research a post-apocalyptic writer can actually get first hand experience on regularly. LOL

So, yeah, we’ve been “staying at home” for a lot longer than 8 days, but “officially” for my state, we’re on day 8. Personally, I haven’t left the house in over two weeks.

Now, yesterday was actually a very productive writing day. Yay!!! Today is shaping up to be a good one too. I feel like life here in the Trettel house is finally settling into a covid kind of normal, and for now, that’s a good thing. I can get back to work as usual and knock out some of these books that I am now behind on.

I know there was something exciting I had all ready to share and I seriously almost got up in the middle of the night and blogged, so of course now that I’m in front of my laptop, my mind is drawing a blank and I have no clue what I was planning to talk about it. I’m sure it will come to me at the worst possible time.

In the meantime, tomorrow we’re going to try for a little structure in this house. That means getting up before noon, showering, getting dressed, and even leaving the house. I don’t know about you, but I live in pajamas. No shame! My hair has been in a ponytail pretty much since the beginning of all of this. I mean even let it down tomorrow.

Don’t worry, I’m not going out to compromise anyone or anything. I’m dropping off a couple books that sold locally during the Virtual Book signing two Fridays ago, and then pick up some bread at a friends’ house on the way home. All porch side deliveries. I told you, I’m behaving here.

If you purchased books during the Virtual Signing and are wondering when they will arrive, the answer is soon! While I had the books in hand and only sold what I have in stock, I was not prepared for the volume of sales in regards to packaging materials. The post off is like nine days behind on deliveries for local in stock products, so hoping those arrive in the next few days. I went ahead and pushed an Amazon order on shipping supplies as well which should arrive Thursday. Yes, my local Staples had them in stock, but they were more than twice the price of Amazon. So sorry, but we all know I’m notoriously cheap even if my current spending habits haven’t depicted that.

As soon as shipping materials arrive, they are ready to roll. That includes swag packs if you requested one of those. Ideally I’d love to have everything out by this weekend, if not, early next week at the latest. Thanks for your patience.
