When I finished writing In Plain Sight, Peyton had played a bigger role than I expected and her story has come effortlessly. I should wrap up first draft this week. It will release this May. This is Broken Chains, Collier Pack book 3. Here’s a little sneak peek for you…

Mate! my inner wolf said loud and clear.

I started to hyperventilate. I couldn’t believe this was happening now of all time. The room spun and the edges of my vision began to darken.

The next thing I knew, I was staring up into the Caribbean. I smiled and sighed, then realized my head was pounding.

“Ow.” I opened my eyes again. “Where am I?”

“Don’t worry Peyton I’ve got an ambulance on the way,” I heard Mr. Powell say.

“Jesus, Smith, I’ve seen the ladies swoon over you before, but never actually faint from it,” Jerry said. He was the normal stockboy that I was used to working with and I recognized his voice without even seeing him.

I groaned as Smith shoved him to the side.

“Are you alright?” he asked.

I tried to sit up on my own, but strong warm arms wrapped around my shoulders to support me. I sighed again. I could get lost in those arms. That’s when reality hit me. I was at Powell’s Grocery, on the floor, swooning over—my mate! I gulped hard and my eyes flew to meet his. I saw confusion there and nothing more. Maybe I’d hit my head harder than I thought.
